Who trades what

Company names come from the trader directory HMRC publishes alongside its trade statistics, and appear exactly as filed. A result means the company was published against those commodity codes in those months. Open a result for its full record.

Loaded scope: HMRC's UK trader directory for chapters 02, 03, 04 and 16 of the tariff (meat, fish, dairy and eggs and prepared meat and fish), Jan 2016 to Jun 2026.

Nothing published under “frozen chicken”

The loaded scope is chapters 02, 03, 04 and 16 of the tariff (meat, fish, dairy and eggs and prepared meat and fish), so most UK companies are legitimately outside it. HMRC also suppresses some cells and lets traders opt out of the directory, so a company can trade without appearing.

What this does not show

No value per company. HMRC publishes the trader–commodity link but not what each trader moved, so any per-company figure would be an estimate, and this site publishes only observed official figures. The directory is also a floor rather than a census: suppressed cells and trader opt-outs mean a company can appear in the statistics without appearing here. How the data is sourced
